For fans of rock music, a certain weekend has long been planned and kept free: From June 11th to the 14th the 2025 Nova Rock edition will take place near Nickelsdorf, Burgenland in Austria.
In 2005 it opened its gates for the first time. Now two decades later Nova Rock proved itself to become a well-known name with a firm fan base. Hence it established itself to become one of the country’s biggest festivals! On top of that it has great popularity not only among locals, but every year many internationals travel to the so-called Pannonia Fields, where the festival grounds are located.
This year the headliners alone give a good overview of how Nova Rock offers concerts for every generation. Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot and Electric Callboy are in charge of bringing each day to a fulminant end. A small selection of other names will play the festival grounds: Spirit Box, Knocked Loose, Rise Against, Iggy Pop, Motionless in White, Powerwolf, Lorna Shore, Wanda, Alligatoah and Idles.
Next to its big red and blue stages, Nova Rock also offers the Red Bull Stage. Local artists, such as Vandans, The Generation or Glueboys, can be seen there. But also coming from further away Boston Manor, Thrice or Paleface Swiss will heat the stage.
There are still tickets available on all official ticket platforms. Be quick, or the prices will go up higher the closer the festival comes! As of right now, only Thursday is officially sold out. But, keep a close eye on social media: Occasionally a low number of tickets get dropped. So, there is still a chance to get hold of a Thursday ticket. And to end with some advice if it’s your first time going to Nova Rock: Even when the weather forecast says no rain will come, be sure to bring a pair of rain boots and a poncho!
