All About: Rock Am Ring 2025

From June 6th till June 8th it will be time for a special edition of both Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park. The festivals will be celebrating their 40th and 30th years since their first editions. Just a few days ago the festival was fully sold out, with only camping tickets remaining for those who haven’t gotten them yet. Rock Im Park is also down to the last few tickets, so the time to buy them is now!

This June 90 thousand people will make their way to the Nürburgring, which is on a racetrack. The line-up has been finalized, with the exception of some special guests, and fans will be able to pick and choose from more than 90 bands throughout the weekend to watch. The festival struck gold this year headliner wise, with something for every generation. The newer generation might be more excited for Bring Me The Horizon and Sleep Token, while Korn and Slipknot will be there to satisfy the older metal heads. Bands from all over the world are making their way to Germany, but the local heroes can not be forgotten on this line-up: K.I.Z., Feine Sahne Fischfilet, Adam Angst, Die Nerven, Kontra K and many more.

While this scene is mainly filled with men in the spotlight, this year will have some female power taking over the stages. With Destroy Boys, Mia Morgan, Poppy, LØLØ, Spiritbox, Future Palace, Jinjer and The Warning to name a few who will rock their hearts out on stage.

Despite the name the festival does not only invite rock bands, with headlining German hip-hop group K.I.Z. playing on the first day. This band has a special story with the festival, since they were supposed to play at an aftershow party in 2007. The festival then cancelled their performance after finding their lyrics to be too offensive. Instead the band decided to play from the rooftop of a bus in the camping area a year later. Since the band was playing hip-hop at a rock festival, members of the crowd started throwing beer cans onto their make-shift stage. Despite all of this the band was officially on the line-up in both 2015 and 2023 and are now headlining, bringing the rock and hip-hop community together.

A big part of going to festivals is of course camping. The festival has made plenty of options available, catering to everyone’s needs. The most basic of all is the General Camping, where everyone can pitch up their tent and keep it simple. If you’d like to have a bit of a quieter time, the Green Camping might be for you. The focus in Green Camping is on nature conservation and waste separation. For a good night’s rest quiet hours are observed from 01:00 AM to 08:00 AM. If you’d like to have power near your tent the Rock ‘n’ Roll Camping is for you, which is just as simple as the General Camping but with power outlets throughout the area. These three options are the only ones still available, as the other four are already sold out. The Caravan Camping is like the name says, for anyone who is going to be sleeping in a vehicle. The Caravan Passes are already sold-out, so you can only get tickets for this if you already have friends with a vehicle on the camping. This one also has power outlets for you to use. The festival offered some options for anyone who wanted to have a special experience, with the Utopia Stage Camping having a tent already built for you right next to the Utopia Stage. This camping has all the luxuries you need, with WiFi, power, sanitary facilities, a lounge area and culinary options. Being on this camping site also grants you access to Zone A and B, which are closest to the stage. Don’t fancy staying in a tent? The Experience Camping already has bungalows built with actual beds to have a good night’s rest and enjoy your weekend in full glory.

If you want to grab some merch before heading to the Nürburgring, the festival already has merch online for you to buy which you can find here. The festival also has their own app, available for both iOS and Android, where all the info will be including the timetable. You can check up the full line-up below or on their own website
