On the 12th of July, the 11th edition of the small, one-day festival Werchter Boutique will take place at Festivalpark Werchter in Belgium. This location is also home to the iconic Rock Werchter festival, which takes place the week before. Werchter Boutique, unlike Rock Werchter, only makes use of the terrain’s main stage and therefore has all its acts play one after the other – which is great if you do not want to miss anyone!
The first edition of the festival took place back in 2008, and since then, it has occurred sporadically. From 2008 to 2013, the festival had a great run, with acts such as Madonna and Metallica headlining. They took a break for a few years only to come back in 2017 with headliner Robbie Williams. The biggest edition of the festival should have taken place in 2020, when Taylor Swift was supposed to be headlining as part of the Loverfest run, but unfortunately, this had to be cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Werchter Boutique came back in 2022 with Gorillaz and Stromae and has been trying to bring the best of the global pop acts to their stage. While they did not succeed in getting a line-up together for 2024, the festival will be back for 2025!
This year, the festival’s headliner will be the pop-rock group Imagine Dragons, who will be making a stop at Werchter Boutique as part of their European tour. The other five acts taking to the stage on July 12th are Belgian acts Bazart and Emma Bale, indie singer-songwriters Declan McKenna and Alex Warren, and R&B artist Jorja Smith. As stated before, all the acts will be playing on the same stage, and therefore no one in attendance has to miss any of their sets.
General admission tickets for the festival are no longer available, but worry not: Werchter Boutique is partnering with Ticketmaster to ensure that fans can safely buy tickets through the resale program. Fans of Imagine Dragons can also still buy a Golden Circle ticket for €184 that ensures they can stand right at the front while the iconic band is playing their 2-hour-long set.
