On this peaceful Sunday evening the MTC in Cologne was about to get their roof blown off. It was finally time for As Everything Unfolds to take over Cologne. They did not come alone but brought The Oklahoma Kid to warm up the crowd.
The Oklahoma Kid is a band from Rostock, Germany. The crowd seemed to like them and started dancing and moshing to their music. The band members gave it their everything and were jumping up and down along with the crowd. The small venue got heated up very quickly and soon was filled with people who were having fun. Their set was not very long, but it was enough time for them to warm up the audience and get them moving.
When As Everything Unfolds came on stage the crowd went crazy. If you thought they had spent all their energy during the last set, you’d definitely be wrong. The mosh pits were getting bigger and rougher and everyone was having the best time. Vocally, lead singer Charlie Rolfe was in great shape. She hit every note and impressed everyone with her insane live performance. The interaction with the audience was not as present in the beginning, but the further we got into the set, the more talkative the singer became.
Before going into the song ‘Grayscale’ she took a moment to thank the crowd, whether they have been following the band for a while or are a new fan, expressing how grateful the group are to be able to tour and make music.
For the song ‘Felt Like Home’ frontman Tom Brümmer from The Oklahoma Kid joined As Everything Unfolds on stage. Their set ended with ‘On The Inside’, during which multiple crowd surfers appeared.
