On the 20th of September, the fourth and final day of Reeperbahn took place. First on the day’s lineup was Grima. The German-Spanish dream-pop artist played an outside set at the fritz-kola Bühne. The sun was shining, so this made for a good start to this last day. About half an hour after his set, Brodie Milner and his band took to the stage at Molotow. The room was fully packed for this English singer’s first show in Germany. He showed his gratitude by telling the crowd, “Thank you so much for being here”.
Back at the fritz-kola Bühne, German rapper Juno030 played a show together with her brother. The meadow in front of the stage was filled to the brim. “Hamburg, geht’s euch gut? Geht’s euch gut?” (transl. “Hamburg, are you doing well? Are you doing well?”) she asked the audience, which led to loud cheers. A few people in attendance were already familiar with her music, but most of them were not. Juno expressed she felt happy that so many showed up without being familiar with her work. During one of the songs, her brother left the stage, so that she was completely on her own. Juno took this moment to talk about the importance of bringing more awareness and sensibility regarding mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia. In the same Festival Village, but on another stage, Swiss artist Seraina Telli began her outdoor show right after Juno’s had ended. A crowd gathered as soon as Telli and her drummer, Mike Malloth, took to the stage to play a full-hour show. “Es war schön mit euch” (transl. “It was beautiful with you”), she said near the end of it.

At the Docks, Bow Anderson’s scheduled 19:30 start time ran a little late as her and her guitarist had technical difficulties, causing them to have to restart the first track multiple times. As these difficulties kept returning, the pair decided to go acoustic, which did not at all diminish the quality of the set. Before singing her song ‘12 Minute Walk’, Anderson brought awareness to the dangers that women face when walking home alone at night. The applause that kept going, even after the song had ended. About 1,5 hours later, English indie band Balancing Act took to the stage at Molotow. Their gig was widely visited and enjoyed, as their set was simply amazing.
At Indra, the K’s played their first-ever show in Hamburg late in the evening. As fans let loose, someone shouted “Viva the K’s”. A short bit before the end of their set, it was time to head back to Molotow to catch part of Coach Party’s performance. The band, hailing from the Isle of Wight, gave the crowd an amazing end to this year’s edition of Reeperbahn. Lead vocalist Jess Eastwood gave a short talk about the band’s then-upcoming album Caramel. For their last song, ‘Girls!’, which would be appearing on the aforementioned album, the band asked all men to step aside so that the women could come to the front. Throughout their set, Coach Party had people jumping, clapping, and even moshing. Check out the full gallery of day 4 here!
