On Friday February 20th St. Lundi, aka Archie Langley, with support from Benjamin Torrens, played a show at the Stellwerk in Hamburg as part of his currently announced live dates. It is the biggest show he’s playing in all of Europe. St. Lundi’s last time in this city was as a support for The Fray. At that show he also teased this show and had a qr-code at the merch stand fans could scan, to buy tickets early, as the show hadn’t been announced yet! Both artists managed to create a rather intimate feeling during their set, only them on stage, no band, with a guitar or playing the keys.
First on stage was Benjamin Torrens, he started with the song ‘Wild Lavender’. He thanked the crowd for having come down to see his set! He also expressed gratitude to St. Lundi that he’s able to be a support and explained that they’re friends! The second song of the night was ‘April’. Benjamin asked the crowd that if they’re alright, fans cheered in response and he also said that he likes Hamburg. Introducing the song ‘Early Morning Still‘, which he said is ‘about being in love’, he went on to ask if anyone in the room is experiencing this, barely someone cheered to which he said ‘fair enough’, which made people laugh! He went on to sing ‘Calendars’, from his newest EP ‘Easel‘ (rel. 06.02.2026).
Not many people seemed to know the next one in his set, it was a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’. Closing his set he sang the song ‘Little’ which he wrote about his wife, he called her ‘the best’! Then he went off stage, accompanied by the applause of the whole room. Generally applause was noticeable throughout his whole set!
Now on stage was St. Lundi., who started with the song ‘Following My Heart’. He then shared that the tour ‘is completely self promoted’ and his surprise for people actually having showed up because of that! ‘Ready To Be Loved’ started, fans were already singing along, after ‘Lost in Love’ followed. St. Lundi then explained that him having self-promoted the tour, is also the reason why he doesn’t have his band with him. He wanted to see for himself that he’s able to do the tour run on his own! Just before ‘Say So, he encouraged fans to sing along to the song he has yet to sing this evening.
He also played a new song called ‘Heaven Sent’, he said that it’s about having lost someone, you wondering where they are now, in his words ‘when you came here you were heaven sent, you were amazing and I wonder did you go back there again. You are a beautiful person.’.
St. Lundi did mention during the evening that the first gig he ever played under this name was at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, a short set on the NJoy (Radio Station) Bus. It was outside and raining, he recalled one person standing there watching him play and noticed the same person in the crowd on Friday and gave them a shout out! Leading up to a surprise he mentioned Benjamin and him “woke up at 5am” for the flight to Hamburg and. Then St. Lundi said that he asked him if he wanted to sing a song with him on stage, he agreed and Benjamin then walked on. Together they covered ‘Iris’ by the Goo Goo Dolls!
St. Lundi said he hopes for the fans having a good time, they cheered to give him a positive response. As the second to last song of his set, he did the song ‘I Love You More’, the venue beautifully covered in shining phone lights! He thanked the crowd for the ‘wonderful night’, teased him wanting to play another show in Hamburg, then ended his set with ‘You’re The Reason’. He mentioned it’s about the ‘first date’ with his girlfriend, now they’re ‘still together 6 years later’. Both St. Lundi and Benjamin then met fans at the merch desk. It was a nice Friday evening, a great start to the weekend!
