All about Independent Venue Week

The next edition of Independent Venue Week is approaching, and we’re here to tell you everything we know.

According to their website: “Independent Venue Week is the UK’s annual 7-day celebration of independent music & arts venues and the people that own, run and work in them.”

The idea behind this project is pretty cool – we are stronger together, and that’s exactly what independent venues have done. They’ve not only united among themselves but also with artists, promoters, record labels, and a myriad of different professionals to create special events to shine a spotlight on the British independent music scene.

From January 29th to February 4th the music within these venues will not stop playing! This edition kicks off strong with English Teacher leading the lineup as artist ambassadors for the event. They will perform in 5 different cities, opening the week with a concert on January 28th in York. The band has already expressed their excitement for the event, demonstrating their commitment to venues and local businesses.

A total of 105 venues are participating in this event, hosting countless national and international artists throughout the week. Among them are bands like Steve Mason, Hinds, Peaness, The Zutons, CVC, Skinny Living, TVAM, Altego, and The Clockworks, and you can enjoy their performances for an approximate price of 15 pounds, depending on the venue.

All the information is available on their website, where you can also find a search feature allowing you to filter by venue, dates, or artist. There’s plenty more information about the event itself. To stay updated on the latest news, follow them on Instagram, where they announce everything that’s to come.

You can’t miss the opportunity to meet your next favorite artist at an intimate concert in your hometown! Bring your friends and lace up your shoes tightly because you won’t stop dancing!
