Laura Pieri dropped her new single ‘Flown Away’ on April 25th, as part of her upcoming project Frankie On The Dancefloor. This new project is an extension of her 2024 EP Frankie and will include four new remixes, plus this fresh and energetic track.
‘Flown Away’ feels like a bit of a shift for Pieri, as in this track she leans more into dance vibes, but at the same time still keeps a characteristic emotional touch in her music. You can truly hear the emotions, both in her voice and in how the song builds.

It starts pretty calmly with just a few beats, but it already draws you in from the very beginning. Then it builds up to a powerful chorus where she evidently shows her versatile voice. The beat picks up too, backing her up and then giving you a moment to just dance it out and take it all in.
‘Flown Away’ was originally written for the Frankie EP, but Laura reflected how the song was a misfit for a while: “Sonically, she didn’t quite fit with the rest of the project. But stepping away gave me the space to reimagine her. Frankie’s story wasn’t over, and ‘Flown Away’ felt like the perfect way to keep her spirit alive while pushing the sound forward.” This song can be considered a standout track in Pieri’s journey up until now. It still celebrates themes of female empowerment, but simultaneously takes things up a notch with a fresh, high-energy dance-pop vibe. Adding the fact that her voice is super multifaceted in this song, Laura Pieri proves what she can do, and she’s clearly not afraid to go for it.
