A new voice heard from London, Bettina introduces herself with ‘Want Me Bad’, a bold and cheeky debut single released on April 17th. This song blends early 2000s R&B-pop influences with a modern pop sensibility – it’s flirty, bratty, and effortlessly catchy.
The track opens with a playful jab: “I think I look better next to you, I lose my head and she would too.”

From there, Bettina lays it all out; ignoring DMs, calling out insecure boys, and brushing off clingy exes with lines like: “Boy, you know you ain’t that fit, I’m so over it.” It’s that perfect mix of savage and sweet, with her knowing exactly how much power she holds.
It’s a song about knowing your worth, and refusing to settle for inconsistency. The chorus, where she sings “You only want the things that you can’t have, thinking of me keeping you up all night”, drives the point home with just the right amount of bite.
Built on a smooth, bouncy beat produced by Scorpio Vision and co-signed by Kenny Beats, ‘Want Me Bad’ takes cues from early 2000s pop and R&B, but keeps things fresh. The drums hit clean, the bassline gives it weight, and the synths are light and catchy. There are a few background vocals and effects that add texture, but nothing too over the top; it’s simple, polished, and easy to vibe to. The track doesn’t try to be deep, and that’s the charm. It’s fun, a little petty, and perfect for blasting when you’re over it and moving on.
With this debut, Bettina makes one thing clear: she’s not chasing anyone. She knows exactly what she brings to the table.
